Lady Bants

Another Tuesday, another day at my lovely internship. I'm back and armed with conversation starters to crack the sports desk –“what did you think of the Exeter/Liverpool football game, bruh?” – and poised with initiative. I come in settle at MY desk (you heard right, bitches) and crack on with “Ten Words Added to the Oxford Dictionary in 2015”. my personal fave is Bants (banters little sister) “playfully teasing or mocking remarks exchanged with another person or group”. Then I crack on with sourcing contact information for upcoming interviews, it really is amazing how much you can learn with the internet – I person A's husband looks like, how long they've been married and where they studied without moving from my desk.

Lunch is obvo at Pret cause I'm a twenty-something who is happy to pay a kings ransom for a pot of hummus and cucumber rather than do a full weekly shop with the same amount. Whatevs, no one wants to see a squashed ham sarnie pop up when the search #tweetwhatyoueat on instagram do they?

The best bit of the day occurred, like most good things (I'm talking dinner, pub or hitting up da club), after lunch: Street Style. I got to scour the high streets for super-stylish women, tell them how good they look and take their photo. What surprised me was how engaging everyone was, and how much of their time they were willing to gift me (up to 20 mins for some lovely ladies!). The only downside was the sub-zero temperatures. I'm pretty sure I now have chilblains. #YOLONOLO
